Get Outside and Ride During Bike Week 2026

Bike Week is a yearly event hosted by the local organization Reconnect Rochester. This event brings together and grows the community of cyclists in the Monroe county area. Whether you are an avid cyclist, haven’t been out biking in a while, or have never ridden at all, this week offers events for you!

Bike Week 2026 takes place this spring from May 8th-17. Every day will offer one or more rides to join, each hosted by a local cycling group. Rides will be held at various locations and times throughout the week, so if you can’t make it to one, you will certainly be free for another!

Don’t know how to ride? That’s okay! On both Saturdays (May 9th and 16th) classes will be held at Adams St. R-Center (85 Adams Street) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for anyone in first grade and up.

Want to try a different type of biking? Mountain biking and e-biking sessions will be held on Tuesday May 12 at 6:00–7:30 p.m. Mountain bikes and helmets will be provided for youth participants in 5th-12th grade. The e-biking session is beginner friendly, and offers helpful advice on how to shop for and operate an e-bike responsibly.
